To help you prepare properly and fervently for the feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in which He desires to be born anew in your soul in an even more powerful way than in bygone years, we offer you a variety of readings to help ignite the fire that Our Lord came to enkindle in your hearts and souls.
On this ADVENT MAIN PAGE we will post general information about Advent as well as a variety of miscellaneous spiritual and historical articles by various Catholic authors.
There will also be pages specifically allocated to two giants: St. Thomas Aquinas (who needs no introduction) and Dom Prosper Guéranger (author of the multi-volume masterpiece "The Liturgical Year"). Those pages will be entitled "Advent with Aquinas" and "Advent with Guéranger."
In addition to this, the Daily Thoughts page will largely focus upon the season of Advent also. In the ADVENT PRAYERS section, we will post prayers that are related to the season.
In the DOWNLOADS section we will also make available several Advent posters for download. All in all, there should be lots of varied material available for anyone who wants to make a real effort at living the Faith according to mind and spirit of the Church and thus making a sincere and fruitful preparation for the beautiful and consoling feast of the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
