PRAYER TO HONOR THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
(by St. Ephrem the Syrian)

Blessed Virgin, immaculate and pure, thou art the sinless Mother of thy Son, Who is the mighty Lord of the universe. Since thou art holy and inviolate, the hope of the hopeless and sinful, we sing thy praises. We praise thee as full of every grace, for thou didst bear the God-Man. We all venerate thee; we invoke thee and implore thy aid.

Holy and Immaculate Virgin, help us in every need that presses upon us and free us from all the temptations of the devil. Be our intercessor and advocate at the hour of death and judgment. Deliver us from the fire that is not extinguished and from the outer darkness. Make us worthy of the glory of thy Son, O dearest and most kind Virgin Mother. Thou art indeed our most secure and only hope, for thou art holy in the sight of God, to whom be honor and glory, majesty and power forever. Amen. (Indulgence of 3 years; Raccolta, no. 371)

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE

Our Lady of La Salette, true Mother of Sorrows, remember the tears which thou didst shed for me on Calvary. Remember, also, the care which thou takest to shield me from the justice of God, and do not now abandon thy child, for whom thou hast done so much. Inspired with this consoling thought, I cast myself at thy feet, in spite of my unfaithfulness and ingratitude. Do not reject my prayer, O reconciling Virgin. Convert me; obtain for me the grace to love Jesus Christ above all things and to console thee by a holy life, that one day I may see thee in heaven. Amen.

MIRACULOUS MEDAL

Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of our Lord Jesus, and our Mother! Filled with the most lively confidence in thine all-powerful and never failing intercession, manifested so often through the Miraculous Medal, I, thy loving and trustful child, implore thee to obtain for me the favor I earnestly ask, if it is beneficial to my immortal soul and the souls for whom I pray:

Thou knowest, O Mary, how often my soul has been the sanctuary of thy Son, Who hates evil. Obtain for me, then, a deep hatred of sin and that purity of heart, which will unite me to God alone, so that my every thought, word and deed may tend to His greater glory. Obtain for me also a spirit of prayer and self-denial, so that I may recover by penance, what I have lost by sin, and at last reach that blessed home where thou art the Queen of angels and of men. Amen.

MIRACULOUS MEDAL

Virgin Mother of God, Mary Immaculate, I dedicate and consecrate myself to thee, under the title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. May this Medal be a sure sign of thine affection for me and a constant reminder of my duties toward thee. While wearing it, may I ever be blessed by thy loving protection and preserved in the grace of thy Son. Most powerful Virgin, Mother of our Saviour, keep me close to thee every moment of my life. Obtain for me, thy child, the grace of a happy death, so that, in union with thee, I may enjoy the bliss of Heaven forever. Amen.
