Devotion to Our Lady
"It is impossible that a servant of Mary be damned, provided he serves
her faithfully and commends himself to her maternal protection."
St. Alphonsus Liguori, Doctor of the Church (1696-1787)

LITANIES FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL
Easter Sunday has a variable date―being celebrated on the Sunday following the Paschal Full Moon―and therefore being celebrated as early as March 22nd or as late as April 25th. Consequently, the following feasts―which depend upon when Easter Sunday falls in any particular year―also have variable dates for the feast, these are: Holy Thursday being the 3rd day before Easter; Good Friday being the 2nd day before Easter; Holy Thursday being one day before Easter;  Ascension Thursday being the 40th day after Easter; Pentecost Sunday being the 50th day after Easter; Trinity Sunday being the 57th day after Easter; Corpus Christi being the 61st day after Easter and the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus being the 69th day after Easter. As a result of this, the litanies in honor of these feast days are likely to span a period of either two or three months. This is shown below:

FEAST DAY                      EARLIEST POSSIBLE DATE          LATEST POSSIBLE DATE
Holy Thursday                   March 19th                                       April 22nd
Good Friday                       March 20th                                       April 23rd
Holy Saturday                    March 21st                                       April 24th
EASTER SUNDAY            March 22nd                                     April 25th
Ascension Thursday          April 30th                                          June 3rd
Pentecost Sunday             May 10th                                          June 13th
Trinity Sunday                   May 17th                                          June 20th
Corpus Christi                   May 21st                                          June 24th
Sacred Heart of Jesus      May 29th                                           July 2nd

Hence, any litanies pertaining to the above variable feast days, will be posted on multiple months―to be either prayed or ignored―depending upon when that feast falls on any given year.

Litany of Faith  for the Easter Season
(by Pope Pius VI, 1775-1799)

Lord, have mercy upon me!
Christ, have mercy upon me!
Lord, have mercy upon me!

O God the Father of Heaven, Have mercy on me!
O God the Son, Redeemer of the world, Have mercy on me!
O God the Holy Ghost, Have mercy on me!
O Holy Trinity, one God, Have mercy on me!

Thou, Who, being eternal truth, cannot deceive, Have mercy on me!
Thou, Who, being infallible wisdom, cannot be deceived, Have mercy on me!
Thou, Who hast built Thy Church on an immovable rock, Have mercy on me!
Thou, Who hast promised continual help to Thy Church, Have mercy on me!

That Thou art the one true God, Who rewards the good and punishes evil, I believe firmly, O my God!
That Thou art one in essence and three in person, I believe firmly, O my God!
That Thy divine Son became man and died for the salvation of the world, I believe firmly, O my God!
All that Thou hast revealed in Holy Scripture, I believe firmly, O my God!
All that Jesus Christ has taught us in His Holy Gospel, I believe firmly, O my God!
All that the Holy Apostles have preached, I believe firmly, O my God!
All that the General Councils have declared to be truths of Faith, I believe firmly, O my God!
All that the Catholic Church commands me to believe, I believe firmly, O my God!

All articles of Faith, both written and unwritten, I believe firmly, O my God!
Without any hesitation or doubt, I believe firmly, O my God!
With an entire submission of my mind, I believe firmly, O my God!
With a perfect consent of my will, I believe firmly, O my God!
With an interior and exterior confession of Faith, I believe firmly, O my God!
On account of Thy supreme majesty, I believe firmly, O my God!
On account of Thy infallible word, I believe firmly, O my God!
On account of thy veracity and infallibility, I believe firmly, O my God!
Even if it becomes for me a cause of persecution, I believe firmly, O my God!
Even if I must lose all I possess, I believe firmly, O my God!
Even if it costs me my life, I believe firmly, O my God!
In union with the lively Faith of all the just, I believe firmly, O my God!
In union with the constant Faith of all the martyrs, I believe firmly, O my God!
In union with the most perfect Faith of the Blessed Virgin Mary, I believe firmly, O my God!

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, etc.

Let us pray:
O God, Who, in the superabundance of Thy goodness, hast called me to the true Catholic Faith, grant me the grace to persevere in the Faith constantly to the end of my life. Cast, too, a look of mercy on the heretics and unbelievers for whom Thy divine Son shed His Precious Blood; enlighten and fortify them by Thy supernatural grace, in order that they may acknowledge the One True Church in which alone men can be saved, and may courageously enter that Church, without human fear, without temporal motives, and without vain subterfuges, and that thus, by a true and active confession of Faith, they may attain everlasting salvation. Amen.
