Below you will find a poster of the letter written by a young marine to his mother after being wounded on a Korean battlefield in 1950. The Navy chaplain, Father Walter Muddy, to whom the letter was shown, thoroughly checked the facts with the young Marine and the sergeant in whose patrol he had served. Having concluded that that the facts mentioned in the letter had actually occurred, Father Muddy made the letter public, in 1951, before a gathering of 5,000 Marines at the Naval base in San Diego, California. This is the second poster in a series of posters that will be created and released throughout the month of November dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
This particular poster deals with the theological opinions of the some of the Doctors of the Church and the revelations that God has made to some of the Saints regarding the fire of Purgatory and the fires of Hell being the one and the same fire. |
The Saints quoted include Pope St. Gregory the Great; St. Thomas Aquinas; St. Robert Bellarmine; St. Francis de Sales; St. Bridget of Sweden; St. Catherine of Genoa, and St. Frances of Rome.
Of course, many more quotes could be given on the same subject of the fires of Purgatory and Hell being the same, but the poster size limits the number of quotes that can be used while preserving a sufficiently large type that is comfortably read. |
The only sizes available are the two large sizes, namely
(a) 13 inches x 19 inches in color and black & white (b) 11 inches x 17 inches in color and black & white No Letter Size (8.5 inches x 11 inches) has been produced, due to the the large number of quotes that have been used, which would render the text too small to be read with any degree of comfort. |

In this document will find all the Presidential Thanksgiving Day Proclamations from the first―1789―to the last one as of writing―2018. We are currently in the 58th 4-year term or office of presidency (Trump’s presidency) with a total of 45 men having served as president―some serving 3 terms (Roosevelt), some 2 terms (15 presidents), the rest serving anywhere between 1 and 7 years―due to deaths in office, or assassinations, impeachments, etc. Only one of the 45 Presidents of the United States of America has been Catholic―President John F. Kennedy. The remainder have been Protestants or Deists. Of all the 45 Presidents of the United States, the Freemasons claim that 14 Presidents were Freemasons―though some make that 15 Freemasons by including Lyndon B. Johnson
All of them mention God or a Supreme Being in their Thanksgiving Day Proclamations―it seems to be the politically correct thing to do if you want to keep believers voting for you. Their references to God and quotations of Holy Scripture are not to be an ‘authority’ to Catholics―since these men are either heretics or non-believers. Nevertheless, as St. Thomas Aquinas says, no man is totally evil and has at least some good in him―as Our Lord says: “For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? Do not even the publicans do this? And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? Do not also the heathens this?” (Matthew 5:46-47). The Scribes and Pharisees were, in a sense, heretics―for they had evolved their own version of the Jewish religion and did not believe the teachings of Our Lord: “If I say the truth to you, why do you not believe Me? … You do not believe, because you are not of My sheep” (John 8:46; 10:26). Nevertheless, even though Our Lord repeatedly called them “hypocrites” (Matthew 23), He also said to the Jews: “All things therefore whatsoever they shall say to you, observe and do: but according to their works do ye not; for they say, and do not!” (Matthew 23:3). “For I tell you, that unless your justice abound more than that of the Scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven!” Matthew 5:20). Likewise, if Protestants utter some truths, then all the more is expected from Catholics who possess all the truth: “And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required: and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more” (Luke 12:48). When the Protestant and Deist Presidents ask for prayer and penance on Thanksgiving Day―what then should the Catholic be doing? Both Protestants and even more so the Catholics have lost the original purpose and point of Thanksgiving Day. |
